Makai Growth Amazon Data Connector

The Amazon Data Connector is a private integration I built to pull reporting data directly from Amazon's Selling Partner API for the brands I manage. It replaces the manual work of exporting reports out of Seller Central one at a time and reassembling them in spreadsheets.

It is not a product for sale. It is internal tooling, used by me, on behalf of brands that have authorized it.

What it does

Inventory

Live FBA inventory by SKU, including fulfillable, inbound, reserved and unfulfillable units. Days of supply, sell-through rate, and excess inventory exposure. Stranded inventory, meaning units sitting in a fulfillment center against a listing that cannot sell. The inventory ledger, which reconciles every unit movement and is what you need when a reimbursement claim is disputed.

Sales and traffic

Ordered product sales, units, sessions, page views, Buy Box percentage and conversion, by day, week or month, and broken out by ASIN.

Unit economics

Net proceeds and the full Amazon fee breakdown per ASIN. FBA fee previews including the package dimensions and weight Amazon believes each unit has, which is the evidence needed to open a dimension dispute when Amazon has mis-measured a product into the wrong size tier.

Search and keywords

Search Query Performance, showing query volume and the full funnel from impressions through purchases, split between total marketplace and the brand's share. Brand Analytics top search terms, market basket analysis, and repeat purchase behavior.

Finance

Settlement reports, storage and long-term storage fees, reimbursements, and order-level financial detail.

Catalog

Full listing exports, catalog records including backend attributes, and the listing issues Amazon has flagged against a SKU.

Returns

FBA customer returns with return reason, disposition, and the customer's own comments, which is what makes it possible to diagnose why a product is coming back rather than only how often.

How it works

A brand authorizes the connector once, through Amazon's standard Login with Amazon authorization flow in Seller Central. That authorization can be revoked by the brand at any time.

After that, the connector requests data from Amazon on demand, produces the analysis, and returns it. Nothing is stored.

What it will not do

It is read-only by design. It cannot change a listing, adjust a price, cancel or modify an order, submit a feed, or take any action inside a Seller Central account. It can only read.

It requests no Amazon roles that grant access to buyer personal information. Buyer names, email addresses, street addresses and phone numbers are returned redacted and are not used.

Each brand's data is kept separate. Nothing is pooled, benchmarked, or used for anyone other than the brand that owns it.

Marketplaces

United States (amazon.com).

Security

Data in transit is encrypted with TLS 1.2 or higher. Authorization tokens are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM, with the key held separately from the data. Access requires a cryptographically random token. No Amazon data is retained after a request completes.

Full detail is in the privacy policy.

Pricing

The Amazon Data Connector is not sold separately. It is included in Makai Growth's Amazon management engagements, which are priced by scope on a monthly retainer.

Retainers depend on catalog size, marketplaces covered, and whether advertising management is included. Email dean@makaigrowth.com and I will put together a quote.
